Affaires De Laval - It is with great pride that Andrew Scheer, Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, and Alain Rayes, Political Lieutenant for Quebec, announced Rima El-Helou’s candidacy in the federal riding of Vimy, in preparation for the October 21st election. Rima holds various degrees, including a Master of Business Administration from ESCP-EAP in Paris, an Executive MBA from the École supérieure des affaires de Beyrouth and a Bachelor of Midwifery from Lebanese University in Fanar. She also holds a certificate in Marketing Management from the HEC de Montréal. A proud mother of two boys, this businesswoman of Lebanese origin is active and very involved in the Laval community where she has lived for several years. El-Helou began her professional career as a midwife. She then worked in human resources management and personal damage insurance. She now manages and acts as a regulated Canadian immigration consultant in her company founded in 2018. Her involvement in the community is as numerous as it is varied. She is active in organizations such as Futurpreneur Canada, a mentoring program for young entrepreneurs, Service et solidarité humaine, which helps newcomers find employment by matching them with businesses, and is a founding member of the Maronite Circle, which supports people in need. Rima is also involved in the organization of the Diocese of Montreal's International Migrants and Refugees Days. "I have a deep desire to be at the service of the people. I will use my knowledge of the county, gained through my professional experiences and community involvement, to proudly represent the women, men, families, youth and entrepreneurs of Vimy," said El-Helou. "Rima is a very active and determined woman. It perfectly embodies our desire to focus on candidates who are close to people and competent. I welcome her to our great team! "said Quebec Lieutenant Alain Rayes. "Rima is a young professional, and she’s committed and dedicated. She is the ideal candidate to represent the people of Vimy in Ottawa," said Andrew Scheer, leader of the Conservative Party of Canada.
